Overview
Docketwise offers seamless integration with Google Calendar, ensuring synchronization of your events between both platforms. Once enabled, events in the synced calendars will sync both ways (from Docketwise to Google Calendar and Google Calendar to Docketwise.
Note: If you activated were using the Google Calendar integration before July 13, 2023 and are on a Pro/Advanced subscription, the account/firm-wide Google Calendar will have been transferred over to the Owner/Admin of your account/firm under their Settings > Personal Information. If the Owner/Admin was not the one to originally set up the integration, the Owner/Admin may deactivate their integration and both parties will be able to integrate their calendars.

How the Integration Works
Depending on your Docketwise subscription plan, either:
All members on the account/firm can activate their own individual Google Calendar integration
OR just one member on the account/firm will be able to activate their Google Calendar integration at a time
On a Docketwise Pro/Advanced Subscription
On a Docketwise Pro/Advanced Subscription, each individual user is able to integrate their Google calendar(s) with Docketwise at the same time.
The calendars that this user selects to sync from Google will be synced both ways between Docketwise and Google. This means that any event created or edited in Docketwise or Google will be synced across both platforms via the integration.
Note: Calendars made in Docketwise are not able to be synced via the integration. Events that are categorized under a calendar created in Docketwise may be reassigned to a calendar from Google so that it can be synced across both platforms.
On a Docketwise Basic Subscription
On a Docketwise Basic Subscription, only one user is able to integrate their Google account's calendar(s) with Docketwise at a time across the entire account/firm. This one user may, however, sync multiple calendars from their Google account.
The calendars that this user selects to sync from Google will be synced both ways between Docketwise and Google. This means that any event created or edited in Docketwise or Google will be synced across both platforms via the integration.
Note: Calendars made in Docketwise are not able to be synced via the integration. Events that are categorized under a calendar created in Docketwise may be reassigned to a calendar from Google so that it can be synced across both platforms.
Setting Up the Integration
Here, we will go over how to set up the integration for both Docketwise Pro/Advanced as well as Docketwise Basic subscribers.
On a Docketwise Pro/Advanced Subscription
If you are on a Docketwise Pro/Advanced subscription, you will need to follow the steps below to activate this integration:
Navigate to Settings > Personal Information
Click the Activate button under Google Calendar.
Log in to your Google account
Authorize access for the integration
Select which Google calendars you would like to integrate from your Google account
Click the Sync Calendars button
Notes:
If you activate your Outlook Calendar integration, you will not be able to use the Google Calendar integration at the same time.
If you are setting up the integration multiple calendars from Outlook Calendars, the integration will start by syncing all events from the first calendar and continue to add the remainder of events and other calendars as it completes the initialization, which may take some time depending on the number of events.
On a Docketwise Basic Subscription
In order to activate this integration, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings > Integrations
Click the Activate Google Calendar button
Log in to your Google account
Authorize access for the integration
Select which Google calendars you would like to integrate from your Google account
Click the Sync Calendars button
Note:
If you are setting up the integration multiple calendars from Outlook Calendars, the integration will start by syncing all events from the first calendar and continue to add the remainder of events and other calendars as it completes the initialization, which may take some time depending on the number of events.
Syncing of recurring events is not supported within the Docketwise-Google Calendar integration.
