In order to send a document upload request, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to your Account Settings by clicking the "Settings" button (or cog icon) in the bottom left corner of your dashboard
Click "Custom Intakes"
Click on "New Intake+"
Inside the Custom Intake Editor, click the Custom tab
Click on "Add Question"
Write the content of your request into the text area (e.g. "Upload a photocopy of your passport"). Your client will see this when they open the Smart Form on their phone or computer, along with an upload box.
Select "Document request" as the question type
Click on "Save"
Toggle the question on to add it to the Custom Intake
To invite your client to upload documents via your document upload requests, follow these steps:
From your dashboard, click "Create New" > "Form"
Assemble the Custom Intake in the same manner as you would create a smart form.
On the Invite tab, click "Invite Contact", choose your desired contact, select the method for sending the invitation, and click the "Invite" button.
Note: Our translation feature does not support converting custom questions into different languages. If you want to share it in a different language, you will need to create the custom question in the desired language.
