Text Message Conversations make communication easier than ever by enabling you to have two-way conversations with your clients within Docketwise via SMS text messaging!

Enabling Text Message Conversations
In order to enable Text Message Conversations, you will need to follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings > Subscription
Select Include under Add Text Messaging
Click the Save Changes button
Note: Only Account Admins/Owners can change the subscription settings.
Using Text Message Conversations
Once you have enabled Text Message Conversations, you are able to access the feature by clicking on the cellphone icon near the top-right of the screen in Docketwise.
Creating a New Text Message Conversation
In order to create a new Text Message Conversation, you will need to follow the steps below:
Click on the π± near the top-right corner
Click on the + New Conversation button
Select the Contact who will be the Recipient
If the contact has a mobile number already added, this will be automatically selected
If the contact does not have a mobile number already added, you can input it manually here
If you would like to file these messages under a client/matter:
Check the box to do so
Select the client/matter under which you would like to file the conversation
Click the Create button
Once you have created a conversation, you are ready to start sending and receiving text messages!
Note: A mobile number may not be reused to create additional conversation apart from the original Text Message Conversation for that mobile number. Additionally, clients are not yet able to initiate conversations and must first be contacted via the Text Message Conversations feature in Docketwise.
Sending Messages
In order to send a message, you will need to follow the steps below:
Click on the π± near the top-right corner
Select the conversation in which you would like to send a message
Click the space at the bottom of the screen to enter your message
Enter your message
Hit the Enter/Return key on your keyboard
Editing a Conversation's Client/Matter
In order to edit a conversation's client/matter, you will need to follow the steps below:
Click on the π± near the top-right corner
Select the conversation that you would like to edit
Click on the βοΈ at the top of the conversation
Select the client/matter under which you would like to file the conversation
Click the Save button
Billing with Text Message Conversations
To help you get started, we will provide you with 100 free Outgoing Text Messages upon first enabling the feature.
Once you run out of Outgoing Text Messages and attempt to send another message, we will automatically add additional Outgoing Text Messages to your account at $20 for 1,000 Outgoing Text Messages.
In order to review the number of remaining Outgoing Text Messages, simply navigate to Settings > Subscription:
Note: The maximum amount of characters for text messages (SMS) is 480 characters.
